Special Education Teacher 0.5 FTE or the 2024-25 school year. Elementary School Counselor starting Fall 2024: North Shore Community School (PK-6) is seeking a 0.8 time counselor. The appropriate four-year degree with a license from the Minnesota Department of Education is required.

The licensed school counselor is responsible for providing a school counseling program that includes: scheduled whole group sessions with classes, and providing individual and small group targeted sessions to support the social and emotional well-being of students. Other responsibilities include tracking absences, contacting parents, intervening during crisis situations, serving as the building 504 Coordinator and District Homeless Liaison, connecting with students during recess and lunch, and other duties as assigned. Familiarity with Responsive Classroom preferred.

Special Education Paraprofessional 1.0 FTE for the 2024-2025 school year.  Hours are from 7:45 am to 3:00 pm on days when school is in session. This will include supporting students in the classroom and the special education area. The position will include supporting students during outside educational opportunities. Head Cook

Head Cook Responsibilities: Hours are from 7:00-2:00 on days when school is in session. Responsibilities: Prepare breakfast and lunch following National School Lunch and MN Dept. of Education Food & Nutrition Service program guidelines, serve meals, and assist in clean-up and storage of food after meals. Complete food production records daily. Cooperates in overlapping of duties while assisting other food service staff.
