Student Newspaper

The Timber Wolf Tribune is a sixth grade student newspaper.  The students came up with and voted on its name.  The wolf is our school mascot, so the name fit!  The contents of the newspaper were developed as a team such as feature stories, fun facts, comics, puzzles and games, outdoor events, and greenhouse news to name a few.  In addition to designing the template of the newspaper, the students decided on specific jobs that include editors, reporters, layout persons, photographers, among others.  Each student chooses an area or areas he/she are interested in to complete for each final publication.  To get the whole school involved, the sixth graders include contests, surveys, interviews, and other classroom news in which other students and staff participate.
